Beginning this December, Westby Creamery will be taking on one of its farmer-owners as a Farm Ambassador (content creator) for its social media channels. Through this new program, a Westby Creamery dairy farmer will be able to show firsthand what life is like on the farm.

The Creamery’s first patron ambassador is Jessica Rogers of Soldier’s Grove, Wis. Jessica farms with her husband, Drew, and their three children, Carter (12), Caleb (8), and Laney (4). They all work together to produce high-quality milk for the Creamery as well as raise their own meat and vegetables for their dinner table.

This past year, the Rogers family upgraded from 18-acres of non-tillable land in Viroqua, Wis. to a much larger, 90-acre farm. Now, they can milk twice as many cows with plenty of space for them to roam and graze. And since upgrading, Jessica and Drew have been able to quit their other jobs and dedicate their time to farming.

In addition to dairy farming, Jessica is a talented photographer, writer, and illustrator. Her artful photography and writing can be found in both her blog, Instagram, and a women’s magazine called, “Your Best.” In 2019, she became a published illustrator for a children’s book, “A Bunny’s Christmas Eve.” And on top of all that, she’s also a teacher! Jessica homeschools her three children.

Although Jessica leads a busy life, she is more than happy to share her lifestyle with Westby Creamery’s social media followers. She has had plenty of success doing so with her own social media accounts.

“Since we started dairy farming and blogging fell to the wayside, I turned to Instagram and Facebook as a fun artistic outlet for myself to share our lifestyle,” Jessica explains. “I post daily videos of all aspects of dairy farming – our family on the farm, chores, and our lovely cows. I share these posts in hopes of connecting those on social media to what a special and important thing it is to have small family dairies.”

Westby Creamery is so excited to bring Jessica on board. Not only because of her talents but also because Westby Creamery’s social media following has proven to enjoy farm content.

“Westby Creamery is a cooperative owned by small, family farms. The mission to preserve this way of life resonates with our consumers, who have shown us they love hearing from our farmers,” Emily Bialkowski, the creamery’s sales, and marketing manager said. “I know Jessica’s talent for capturing images and video of her family on their farm will be a smashing hit.”
