Creamery Surpasses $50,000 For Great Rivers United Way

Westby Cooperative Creamery is proud to celebrate a decade of partnership with Great Rivers United Way, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening the economic, social and environmental fabric of our community. This year, the Creamery has reached an exciting milestone, surpassing $50,000 in total contributions by pledging over $7,800 in donations for 2025.

These contributions represent the combined generosity of the Creamery and its dedicated employees. Through a simple and effective payroll deduction program, employees have the option to contribute either a one-time amount or recurring donations from each paycheck. This approach ensures everyone can easily participate in supporting United Way’s impactful work across the seven-county region, including La Crosse, Vernon, Crawford, Monroe, Buffalo, Trempealeau and Houston Counties in Wisconsin and Minnesota.

To bolster the 2025 donation, the Creamery Board of Directors matched employee contributions with an additional $0.50 for every dollar pledged. This match helped push the ten-year total to an impressive $51,725!

Great Rivers United Way plays a vital role in the community by funding more than 26 certified agencies and 52 programs focused on education, income, health, and essential needs like food, shelter, and safety. A dedicated team of over 100 United Way volunteers reviews grant applications annually, ensuring that every dollar is thoughtfully allocated to programs that deliver measurable and lasting results.

This long-standing partnership underscores Westby Creamery’s mission to uplift and invest in its community, ensuring that resources go to well-vetted programs addressing critical needs.
