Farm Fun Fact: Cow Gestation Same as Humans

Spring is in the air on Westby Creamery dairy farms, and that means fluffy calves are starting to dot the Wisconsin countryside with their cuteness. A cow’s gestation period, much like a human’s, is nine months. Veterinarians can confirm a cow pregnancy at just 28 days and determine the gender of the calf at 60 days gestation.
