Westby Creamery farmer-owner, Gail Klinkner, has been nominated to serve on the Board of Directors for the Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin (DFW) – again! Each year, one-third of the Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin, 25-member board is elected to three-year terms.

Beginning July 1, 2022, Klinkner and seven other dairy producers will begin their term as elected members of the DFW. Klinkner represents District 21 made up of Crawford and Vernon Counties.

Klinkner and her family operate Pine Prairie Jerseys and Klinkner Holsteins in Liberty Pole, Wis. Additionally, she serves as the FARM program coordinator for Westby Creamery, which is a third-party auditing program that evaluates animal comfort and health.

The Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin promote Wisconsin dairy products and educate consumers and businesses about all the incredible work of dairy farmers. “Gail and her family are amazing advocates for Wisconsin dairy farmers. They truly maintain an open door on their farm so people can learn more about the industry and what it means to her family,” Emily Bialkowski, the Creamery’s sales and marketing manager said. “I know Gail will continue to bring this informative perspective to the Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin.”
