Safe Quality Food Program
For any food manufacturer, quality is not an option; it is a clear expectation of customers and consumers, and an ongoing commitment by the owners and employees of that food manufacturing business. When that food manufacturing business is a cooperative, owned by local family dairy farms, in business since 1903, and named for the town in which that business is located, and in the area in which these owners and employees have lived for generations, that commitment to quality becomes a principled promise.
That’s our promise – Take home safe quality foods from our farms to your refrigerator. Take home country goodness from Westby Cooperative Creamery.
Westby Cooperative Creamery has received the Certificate of Registration in meeting the Safe Quality Food requirements of the SQF Quality Code, Edition 8.0, SQF Food Safety Code for Manufacturing of specified Food Sector Categories and Products.
Administered by the Food Marketing Institute (FMI), and recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), the Safe Quality Food Program (SQF) is a food safety management system. SQF is now recognized around the world as the leading certification program for food manufacturing and distribution. SQF addresses all food safety and regulatory requirements, provides proof of due diligence, and certifies compliance in food safety and quality principles in order to foster consumer confidence in the foods they purchase and consume.
