Sour Cream-Dream Cookies

Fall is here which means baking season is too. Warm up your kitchen with these dreamy, cake-like cookies made with Westby Creamery sour cream. They’re perfectly delicious and will have you reaching for more than one.
When putting this together, your dough should be a mix of cake batter and traditional cookie dough. An electric mixer is recommended to fully incorporate all the ingredients.
Ingredients:
- ½ cup Westby sweet cream butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2/3 cup sour cream
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 16 oz of vanilla frosting
Optional:
- Food coloring
- Sprinkles
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a large bowl with an electric mixer, beat butter and sugar on high until creamy.
- Add eggs, vanilla and sour cream and beat until smooth.
- Add baking soda and baking powder and mix until combined. Add flour and beat on low until no white remains – dough will be soft, almost like cake batter.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and drop heaping tablespoonfuls onto baking sheet 2-3 inches apart and bake for 10-12 minutes. Edges should be golden, and centers set when finished.
- Let cookies cool before frosting and enjoy!
