French Onion Chicken & Pasta in 15 Minutes

Let this French Onion Chicken & Pasta become the star of the show. Westby Creamery’s award-winning French onion dip makes for a fantastic, flavorful pasta sauce. With just a few short steps, you can have dinner ready in under 15 minutes. Once you get a taste of this French Onion Chicken & Pasta, you’ll wonder why you never thought of trying it sooner!

You can easily substitute the chicken for another protein. Or, swap the mushrooms and bell pepper for other vegetables like zucchini, asparagus or spinach.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb shredded chicken
  • 12 oz organic Westby French onion dip
  • 12 oz uncooked pasta (Rigatoni or penne is best)
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ a medium onion
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 8 oz baby bella mushrooms
  • ½ cup of gruyere cheese
  • 2 tbsp of Westby sweet cream butter

Directions:

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to boil. Cook pasta according to package instructions.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt down butter over low to medium heat. Add in chopped onion, bell pepper and mushrooms. Cook for 10 minutes.
  3. Mix French onion dip and chicken broth into the vegetables and simmer for 2-3 minutes. In the meantime, shred the gruyere cheese.
  4. Add in cooked pasta, chicken and cheese to the sauce and vegetables. Stir until combined and enjoy!
