If you’re looking for a quick but hearty meal to whip up, add in this tuna mac salad to next week’s meal plan. It’s easily customizable – simply add in more chopped vegetables or replace a protein to better fit your taste. No matter what ingredients you choose, it’s all brought together by a nice, fresh dressing crafted with Westby Creamery sour cream. Enjoy as an entrée or serve alongside your next summer barbecue.


  • 8 oz elbow macaroni
  • 10 oz canned tuna in water, drained
  • 8 oz cubed ham
  • 2 large stalks of celery, finely choppedHearty Tuna Mac Salad with Westby Creamery sour cream
  • 3 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 5 oz canned sweet peas, drained
  • ½ small red onion, diced
  • 3 tbsp of fresh dill
  • 2 tbsp of fresh parsley
  • 2 tbsp Westby grated parmesan
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  • 2/3 cup Westby sour cream (conventional or organic)
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbs fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tsp granulated sugar
  • ¼ tsp celery seed
  • ¼ tsp paprika


  1. Cook macaroni al dente according to box instructions. Strain and run cold water over it until cool. (Pro tip: Chop your celery and herbs while you wait for your water to boil.)
  2. Mix dressing ingredients in a medium sized bowl.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine all other ingredients with just half of the dressing mixture.
  4. Once all combined, let sit in the fridge for 2-4 hours. Then mix in remaining dressing and serve.
