The 50,000-pound Cottage Cheese Container is Here!

It is only fitting “The Cottage Cheese Capital of Wisconsin” has a glorious, 50,000-pound Westby Creamery cottage cheese container to help pay homage to the area’s dairy heritage. The 6,280-gallon silo located outside of Westby Creamery’s manufacturing plant on Main Street now resembles Westby Creamery Cottage Cheese.
Technically speaking, the silo does not hold cottage cheese. This silo most often holds yogurt, but Westby Creamery is best known for its World Championship 4% Small Curd Cottage Cheese and the wrap helps emphasize this prestigious recognition.
The installation was completed by Shawn Engh of Signs by Shawn, Viroqua on Sept. 23rd, 2020.
